Well, it’s finally happened. After literally 30 years of using Windows computers (ie since I was FIVE YEARS OLD) I’ve switched to Linux.

This is partly because I don’t want “AI” features added to my computer without my consent and Microsoft is doing that all over the place right now.

Mostly though? This is because it routinely took 15 - 45 minutes for my laptop to turn on enough to be used for anything.
